Our Story
VitalZ Capstone began with a simple idea: that world-class research opportunities should be within reach for talented students everywhere, not just those with the right connections or fortunate timing.
Our journey started in a Chinese language school in Richmond, where two educators met through a shared passion for teaching and cultural exchange. One of us was a PhD advisor in microbiology and immunology. She has specialized in pathogenic microbiology and immunology research for nearly 15 years at leading research institutes. With extensive experience in fundamental research, she has also supervised and mentored multiple master’s and doctoral students. Dr. Li is widely recognized as an accomplished mentor with profound expertise in both scientific research and academic guidance. The other—a long-time advocate for global education—had co-founded schools and programs across Canada, China, and the U.S., helping hundreds of students gain admission to top universities worldwide, from the Ivy League to the G5.
With over a decade of experience in teaching, training, and international admissions, we both understood just how life-changing the right mentorship can be. We also understood how rare and unevenly distributed those opportunities often are.
Our Mission
That’s why we created VitalZ Capture—to open doors for students who are ready to explore their academic passions, challenge themselves, and connect with mentors who care deeply about guiding the next generation.
Today, VitalZ Capstone is a global community of scholars, educators, and experts. Our mentors are researchers, professors, and practitioners who were once in the same shoes as the students they now support. Our scholars come from all over the world, united by curiosity, ambition, and a desire to do meaningful work.
